Mattie Collins, 95, a resident of Summit Manor Health & Rehab, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 2:05pmCT, at Summit Manor, Columbia, KY.

Funeral service will be Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Hugh Gannon officiating. Burial will be in Collins Family Cemetery, Adair County, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Friday, July 11, 2014, at the funeral home.

She was born on Sunday, January 12, 1919, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Millard & Nona McFarland Collins. She died Wednesday, July 9, 2014, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 95 years, five months, and 27 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, James, Joe, Sr., Preston, Bill, Bob & Marie Collins.< BR>
She was a member the Church of Christ and a homemaker. Survivors onclude:
  • One son: Clifton Collins of Somerset, KY

  • Sister-in-law: Edra Nell Collins of Columbia, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews also survive, including a special nephew, Ricky Collins and family.
