One driver dead; other charged with Manslaughter 2nd, DUI

Collision occurs on US 60, west of Irvington, KY. Silverado crosses center, strikes Ford Focus head-on. Focus driver pronounced dead at the scene.

RADCLIFF, KY - Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown is investigating a two vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 10amET on US 60 in Breckenridge County just west of Irvington.

William Brown (21) of Irvington was operating a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado Westbound on US 60. James L. Dupin (43) of Irvington was operating his 2004 Ford Focus Eastbound on US 60.



The vehicle Mr. Brown was operating crossed the center line striking Mr. Dupin's vehicle head on.

James Dupin was pronounced dead at the scene. William Brown was transported to Breckenridge Memorial Hospital with minor injuries and later released.

Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor.

William Brown was charged with Manslaughter 2nd degree. and Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st. He was later lodged at the Breckenridge Co. Jail.

The investigation is ongoing by Trooper/Reconstructionist Chris Rafferty. - TPR JEFF GREGORY.
