2014 Rotary Auction raises $7,000

Those who still need to pick up items can do so at Durham & Zornes

By George Koblenschlag

Last week's Rotary radio auction raised $7,000 which will be given to next year's Adair County High School seniors for scholarships to Lindsey Wilson College. About $5,500 came from items auctioned and another $1,500 from cash donations.

That speaks to the generosity of local merchants, businesses and private individuals who contributed items for the auction and who made cash contributions. They are the ones who make the auction and scholarships possible.

Those who could not pay for and pick up their items at the regular scheduled times Thursday and Friday can pick them up this week at Durham and Zornes, 130 Public Square, Columbia. George Kolbenschlag, 320 Young Street, Columbia, KY 42728
