Buford L. Johnson age 83 of Louisville, KY a native of Columbia, KY, passed away Wednesday June 25, 2014 in Louisville, KY.

Visitation will be at 9amCT/10amET, Saturday until funeral services at 10amCT/11amET, at G.C. Williams Funeral Home, 1935 W. Broadway Louisville, KY. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, on Monday, July 30, 2014.

He was born on May 10, 1931 in Adair County, KY. He died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 83 years, one month, and 15 days.

He was an Army veteran and a member of Joshua Tabernacle Baptist church.

He was preceded in death by his brother, William "Bill" Henry Johnson.

Survivors include the following:
  • His son: Johnny Jones & his wife Shirley of Columbia, KY

  • A host of nieces and nephews, including William "Bill" Johnson, his caregiver

  • Four grandchildren

  • and eight great-grandchildren
