Brenda Henry Thompson, 62, Green Co., KY (1952-2014)

She was a native of Green County and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Houston Henry and Lee Ann Henry and the widow of Pat Thompson. She leaves four direct living descendants. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Jacob Grove Baptist Church.

Brenda Henry Thompson was born March 22, 1952 in Green County, KY to the late Houston Henry and Lee Anna Barnett Henry. She departed this life Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, having attained the age of sixty-two years, two months and twenty-nine days.

The funeral service will be at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, at 11amCT, Friday, June 27, 2014. Wake and visitation will be 6pm-8pmCT, Thursday evening, June 26, and after 7amCT, Friday morning at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home. Ministers: Rev. Henry Nelson and Rev. David Mitchell. Interment will be in Green County Memory Garden, Summersville, KY.



Pallbearers: Robert Bradley, Ronald Bradley, Scotty Bradley, George Bradley, Ronelle Bradley, Albert Williams, Louis Henry, and Lavell Henry.

Honorary Pallbearers: Paul Allen Mitchell, David Lee Haskins, Danny Anderson, William V. Spalding, Donnie Williams, Frank Brown, Darien Brown, Billy Jean Mitchell, Dewayne Thornton, Sam Embry, John Thomas Thompson, James Griffin, and Bruce Brown.

Brenda Henry Thompson was born March 22, 1952 in Green County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Houston Henry and Lee Anna Barnett Henry. She departed this life Saturday, June 21, 2014, in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, KY, having attained the age of sixty-two years, two months and 29 days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Jacob Grove Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Pat Thompson, four sisters and two brothers: Nora Brown, Lena Frances Bradley, Hallie Williams, Faye Henry Houston Eugene Henry, William Luther Henry and Lawrence Henry.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her special companion: William Spalding of Lebanon, KY

  • One son: Cornellius Henry of Louisville, KY

  • Special niece: Kendraya Skyy Bridgewater of Lebanon, KY

  • Two brothers and sisters-in-law: James and Rebecca Henry of Oswego, Illinois, and Rev. Louis and Nancy Henry of Greensburg, KY

  • One sister: Margie Jenifer of North Augusta, South Carolina, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Leandra Henry, Tremain (Trey) Henry and Cornellius Tremain Omarion Henry

  • Special friends: Diane Ford, Virginia Griffin and Mary Etta Newby, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
