Roberta Taggart, 77, of Russell Springs, KY died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.

Funeral service for Roberta Taggart will be 12pm noon CT, Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Clifford DeHart officiating. Friends may call after 10amCT, Tuesday. Burial in the Thomas Ridge Cemetery in Dunnville, KY.


Pallbearers: Charles Daniel, Bryan Richards, Thomas Blevins Marcus Richards, Dalton Richards, and Calvin Overstreet.

She was born March 13, 1937 in Casey County, KY. She was the daughter of the late William Daniel & Mary Pearl DeHart Ferry. She died Sunday, June 22, 2014, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 77 years, 3 months, and 9 days.

She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 children, Melvin Daniel, Margaret Owens, and Roy Lee Daniel; and three sisters, Francis Cochran, Mavis Harrington, Brenda Pruitt.

Survivors include her husband: Harry Taggart, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Four children: Vernon (Sylvia) Daniel, Russell Springs, KY; Mary Johnson, Jamestown, KY; Michael (Mary) Daniel, Batavia, New York; and Judy (Wayne) Taylor, Barbourville, KY

  • Thirteen grandchildren

  • Two great grandchildren

  • Sister: Donna (Murrell) Overstreet, Dunnville, KY

  • And a host of neices and nephews
