The Farmer's Market on the Square is open every Saturday from 8am-1pmCT, at the Adair Annex Parking Lot, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY

Come Celebrate the First Day of Summer with us.

The Blueberries are in! Don't wait the season will be over quickly. Blueberries freeze well - just spread them out on a cookie sheet and freeze. Once the blueberries are frozen put them in plastic bags in your freezer. The berries won't stick together so you can use as many as you like from the bag.

Kelli Bonifer, Extension Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences

with the Adair County Extension Services - will be offering Blueberry Cream cheese Pound Cake samples and recipes for delicious summer meals.

2014-06-21 - Yellow Hammer Road, Fairplay, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Day lily blossoms are in bloom on Yellow Hammer Road near Fairplay. Stuffed day lily blossoms were on the menu at the Adair County Garden Club usually on the menu when the Adair County Garden Club had it's last edible flowers class. The large flat elderberry blossoms such as this one are marked by elderberry wine enthusiasts at this time of the year to make gathering in the fall easier. Jack is back!
After a month without my favorite Pepper Jack cheese it's finally back in stock at the Tucker's Station Farms booth at the Farmers Market on the Square. A loaf of Potato Bread and a jar of seedless blackberry jam makes a weekend breakfast. great breakfast. Key to the Jail

Woodturner Carlos Lloyd is at the Farmers Market on the Square for the first time today with a number of beautifully crafted wood products. This one is an exact replica of an old jail key, with hooks for hanging keys at home. He also has a large variety of turned wooden serving bowls, carved wooden tomahawks and knives, and walking sticks. Each item has a price sticker and on the bottom, the name of the wood used; there are items from honey locust, maple, apple and wild cherry. Mr. Lloyd lives just beyond the Green River Bridge on KY 55 in Taylor County.

Tomatoes in a wide variety: Big Stripeys are in

Darrell Bunnnell's Coview Farm crops are coming in abundantly now - Folks waiting for those big stripeys will be happy to know that they are available, along with green tomatoes for frying and red slicers and sandwich tomatoes. They're just a small part of his display today, Saturday, June 21, 2014, at FM2, which officially opens at 8amCT and continues to 1pmET today at the Adair Annex Parking Lot, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY.

Pam's Primitives is back at FM2

She says it's hard to name the exact favorite of her art, but this one, the vertical sign with the handpainted words, "The best things in life are the places we've been, the people we love, and the memories we've made along the way."
