Elizabeth Mary Williams, Cumberland Co., KY (1925-2014) Click on headline for complete obituary with photo Elizabeth Mary Williams was born in Burkesville, KY to George Washington Samples and Rita Alexander on October 3, 1925. She was raised by her mother in the community and educated in the church school. Elizabeth went to Toledo in the early 1950's and joined Phillips Temple CME Church. She served as a stewardess and was active and involved in all areas of the church until her health failed. Elizabeth married William Williams and they had one son Earl Williams. They both preceded her in death. Elizabeth also raised her grandson Eric after the death of his mother. A giving and generous person, she gave of herself at any opportunity. Elizabeth passed away June 17, 2014 at Toledo Hospital. In addition to her grandson and his wife Leah Williams of Toledo, Ohio she leaves three great grandchildren, Eric Zion and Victor Anthony Williams and Adrianna Davis, her Phillips Temple Church Family, her Kentucky family, other relatives and friends. Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 3pmCT, at the Davis Cemetery in Cumberland County, KY. There will be no local visitation. Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
