Mrs. Maxie Bowlin, 82, Burkesville, KY (1932-2014) She was a member of a highly regarded Cumberland Co., KY family with strong family ties also in Adair County, KY, and elsewhere. She was the daughter of the late Millard and Pearl Riddle Spears and the widow of Bernice Bowlin, her husband of 60 years until his death just 15 days prior. She was a member of Parrish Chapel United Methodist Church, a former employee of Sutton Apparel, and the Cumberland County Board of Education. Mrs. Maxie Bowlin, 82, Burkesville, KY (1932-2014) Maxie was born on Saturday, February 20, 1932 in Cumberland County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Millard and Pearl Riddle Spears. She passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Cumberland Valley Manor, Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY. She was a member of Parrish Chapel United Methodist Church, a former employee of Sutton Apparel, and the Cumberland County Board of Education. She was united in marriage to her husband Mr. Bernice Bowlin on January 28, 1954. They spent 60 years together. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2014. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by five brothers, Granville Spears, Austin Spears, Leslie Spears, Preston Spears, and J.E. Spears; two sisters, Lizzie Ooten and Bonnie Johnson; one granddaughter, Leona Cary; and one great grandson, John Russell Bowlin. Survivors Include:
