The ACHS Academic Team season concluded on Thursday evening, June 12 at the Future Problem Solving International Championships at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, with individual competitor Rebecca Montgomery finishing 3rd in the world in the Scenario Writing Competition.

Montgomery began the qualification rounds back in the Fall semester of the school year and advanced through evaluation rounds all the way to a State Championship in March, 2014.

Following the State Championships in which she and the Future Problem Solving team qualified for international competition, her scenario submission then went through rounds of evaluation against other qualifiers from around the world.

At the Opening Ceremony of the annual Future Problem Solving International Conference, Montgomery was announced as the 3rd Place finisher this year in the event. This marks ACHS's fifth top five finish in a scenario writing competition at the international level in the past five years. Although the ACHS team chose not to attend this year's event after earning qualification at this year's State Championships alongside their fellow individual competitor, Montgomery's qualification at State was allowed to be submitted for consideration over the course of the last two months.
