David Wayne Johnson, 72, Adair Co., KY (1942-2014)

He was a native of Cardinal, KY and a resident of Cundiff, KY, at the time of his death. Mr. Johnson was a longtime member of Hilltop Baptist Church, where services will be held, in Knoxville, TN and a truck driver for Sea Ray. HIs wife, Judy Armstrong Johnson of Cundiff, KY, survives.

David Wayne Johnson age 72, formerly of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 6:50amCT, at his home in Cundiff, Adair County, KY.

Funeral service Saturday June 14, 2014 at 12pm noon CT/1pmET, at the Hilltop Baptist Church, 8211 Walker Road, Knoxville, TN. Rev. Tim Day and Rev. Ronnie Sunderland will be the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Knoxville, TN/ Visitation will be from 5pm-7pmCT/6pm-8pmET, on Friday evening Kime 13. 2-14, at the Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, 4131 East Emory Road, Knoxville, TN.



David Wayne Johnson, 72, Adair Co., KY (1942-2014)


He was born October 24, 1942 in Cardinal, KY, the son of Herbert E. and Sarah Burkley Johnson of Knoxville, Tennessee. He died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, in Cundiff, Adair County, KY, at the age of 72 years, 7 months, and 18 days.

Survived by his wife Judy Armstrong Johnson of Cundiff, KY, and the following:
  • One son: David W. Johnson II

  • One daughter: Ruthie Hadley of Cundiff, KY

  • Two brothers: Huey Johnson & Kenneth Johnson

  • Four sisters: Billie, Lillian, Carolyn and Mary

  • Several grandchildren and great grandchildren
Mr. Johnson was a longtime member of Hilltop Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN and a truck driver for Sea Ray.
