Question: Playground equipment at Jim Blair Center Jamie Isabelle writes: I am wondering why the playground equipment, that was moved to the Jim Blair Center, has not been put up. I think, its been there coming up on maybe close to a year, if not mistaken. It is summer time, many kids and families could be getting some use out of this if it was up. Some friends and I are going down there to walk in the evenings, and notice its still just setting there, with no one getting any use out of it. - Jamie IsabelleThanks for the question: It draws attention to the fact that Columbia's Parks & Recreation works on a very limited budget. The equipment was moved from Col. Casey/John Adair by volunteers. There may be a plan in place to erect the equipment at the new location. We'll be checking. But in the meantime, maybe some group will contact the Adair County Judge Executive's office at 270-384-4703 to help out. - CM This story was posted on 2014-06-13 06:28:07
