Burkesville street traffic: First, put back Guardian ST traffic light

By Cynthia Rowe
Personal Commentary

Perhaps if the Traffic Light at Burkesville st and Guardian st be reinstalled again it would solve the problem. I have sent a message to Mayor Harris through Councilman Grimsley. The reply was we needed to have a certain amount of accidents in a certain time period to consider this request. The former Mayor requested the stop light be removed to PERMIT A BETTER FLOW OF TRAFFIC TO THE SQUARE. WELL WE GOT IT ! It is a dangerous steet to cross. We have children on bikes crossing to the grocery to get a soft drink plus all who shop at the grocery..and people to consider who go to the eye clinic and the other businesses. Traffic comes off of the square like they are NASCAR Drivers ! Citizens of Adair. Help us out PUT THE LIGHT BACK SO WE CAN WALK AND CROSS THE STREET SAFLEY ! Respectfully requested by Cynthis Rowe. - Cynthia Rowe
