Herbert (Herb) Evan Branham, Summer Shade, KY (1932-2014)

He worked at Mallorys in Glasgow, KY, for 29 years, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a native of Dubre, KY, and a resident of Summer Shade, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Mollie Vibbert and Thomas Evan Branham. His wife of 62 years, Ruby Turner Branham, survives. He leaves 15 direct living descendants

Herbert (Herb) Evan Branham, age 81, of Summer Shade, died June 11, 2014, at the Monroe County Medical Center, Tompkinsville, KY.

Funeral services will be Sunday, June 15, 2014, at 1:30pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with Dr. Jerry Bean officiating, with burial to follow in the Franklin Cemetery in Cumberland County, KY. Visitation will be Friday, June 13, after 3pmCT, Saturday, June 14, and Sunday until time of the service.



Herbert (Herb) Evan Branham, Summer Shade, KY (1932-2014)

He was the son of the late Mollie Vibbert and Thomas Evan Branham. He was born in Dubre, Kentucky, Thursday, October 20, 1932. He died June 11, 2014, in Tompkinsville, Monroe County, KY, at the age of 81 years, 7 months, and 21 days.

He is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Ruby Turner Branham. They were married April 12, 1952.

He worked at Mallorys 29 years, and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

He is also survived by the following:
  • Three daughters: Marilyn Page, Summer Shade, KY; Debbie (Jimmy) Coe, Tompkinsville, KY; and Donna Branham, Summer Shade, KY

  • One sister, Iva Shaw, Greenwood, Indiana
  • Fve grandchildren: Craig Bunch, Summer Shade, KY; Cliff Bunch, Glasgow, KY; Justin Bunch, Tompkinsville, KY; Nina Bunch, Tompkinsville,, KY; and Nikki Grider, Summer Shade, KY
  • Seven great grandchildren: Kendall, Kaitlyn, Sabashtyn, Jackson, Jenna Fay, Damiann, and Landen

  • A special family member: Jon Washer
He was preceded in death, by his parents, one sister, Inell Luttrell and five infant brothers and sisters.
