Cyclist injured crossing Greensburg ST in collision with Chevy

Injury occurs on Greensburg Street, Sunday, June 8, 2014

Columbia Police Department investigated a collision on June 8, 2014, involving a motor vehicle and a bicyclist on Greensburg Street.

The accident occurred when 14 year old Hannah McAfee was attempting to cross Greensburg Street from private property to Walker Street.



McAfee waited till an oncoming car passed but failed to see a second car being a 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier operated by Jerry Flippo, 27, of Columbia, KY.

Flippo was unable to avoid collision with the cyclist. McAfee was treated on scene and transported to Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia, KY by Adair County EMS. The collision was investigated by Ofc. Charlse Greer.
