Two more file for office on June 2, 2014

Curtis Hardwick files for Mayor; Billy Bloyd files for school board, Div 1

Two candidates filed for offices in Adair County Court Clerk Joyce Rodgers' office on Monday, June 2, 2014. They are:
  • Curtis Hardwick for Mayor of the City of Columbia, KY
  • Billy Bloyd for Adair County School Board, Div 1.
Hardwick had previously served two terms as Mayor.



Hardwick is the second to enter the mayoral race. June Parson, a long time member of the Columbia City Council was first.

Bloyd is seeking the School Board Seat now held by Greg Willis, who has said that he plans to seek re-election.

A second Adair County School Board seat is open, in the Third Division, where Joseph Payne is the current board member.

All six City Council Seats are open this year.

Candidates for school board and city offices have until 4pm local time, August 12, 2014 to file for the November 2014 general election.
