Alvin (Glenn) Scholl, Adair County, KY (1955-2014)

He was a 1973 graduate of Adair County High School and was a self-employed mechanic for many years. He was a member of a large, highly regarded East Adair County, KY family. He was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of Hancock County, IN, at the time of his death. He was he son of Harold H. and Nina B. (Buster) Scholl. His wife, Margaret (Carson) Scholl survives. He leaves 13 direct living descendants.

Alvin "Glenn" Scholl age 59, of Greenfield, Indiana formerly of Adair County, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at his residence after several months illness.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 2pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Terry White the officiating clergy. Interment in the Freedom Cemetery in Adair County, 576 Freedom Church Road, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation Friday May 30, 2014 from 3pm-7pmCT/4pm-8pmET, at the Erlewein Mortuary, 1484 U.S. 40, Greenfield, IN. Local visiting will begin at 12pm noon CT, Saturday until the funeral time at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

He was born Saturday, May 14, 1955 in Adair County, KY the son of the late Harold H. and Nina B. (Buster) Scholl. He died Tuesday, May 27, 2014, in Greenfield, Hancock County, IN, at the age of 59 years. 13 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Orville D. Scholl, E. Gene Conover, Edwin O. Conover.

He is survived by his wife: Margaret (Carson) Scholl of Greenfield, IN, and the following:
  • Sons: Brian (Stephanie) Alig of Carmel, IN; Joshua (Amy) Scholl of Indianapolis, IN; Neal (Chloe) Scholl of Greenfield, IN

  • Daughters: Melissa (Brian) Comerford of Westfield, IN; and Brandy (John) Coffman of Noblesville, IN

  • One brother: Harold "Dick" Scholl of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Helen Curry of Columbus, IN

  • Eight grandchildren
Glenn was a 1973 graduate of Adair County High School and was a self-employed mechanic for many years.
