LWC's Johnson, Stevens 15th and 17th in Women's Long Jump

Blue Raiders compete at 1pmCT and 5:30pmCT, Friday, May 23, 2014, at the at NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium, 18999 Oak Road W, Gulf Shores, AL

GULF SHORES, AL - Nacia Johnson and Kimberley Stevens took 15th and 17th place, respectively, in the women's long jump event on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships.



Johnson captured 15th place with a leap of 5.26 meters on her first attempt. Stevens reached a distance of 5.18 meters on her third and final attempt to place 17th.

Six Blue Raiders are in action Friday, May 23, 2014, at the championships including Chanel Roberts, Carmetrick Ross, Stevens, Ben Graham, Reini Brickson and Amanda Bland. Roberts and Ross are both slated to start at 1pmCT on Friday, Roberts in the women's shot put and Ross in the men's long jump. Brickson and Bland compete in the women's 5,000 meter race walk followed by Graham in the men's 5,000 meter race walk. Stevens wraps up the day at 5:30pmCT, in the women's triple jump. - from Lindsey Wilson College
