He was a native of Moreland, KY, and a resident of Russell Springs, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Lula (Osborne) and Charles Everett May. He was the widowere of Lilie Mae May. He leaves 19 direct living descendants, spanning 4 generations. He was a member of Cold Springs Primitive Baptist Church and worked as a mechanic.

Orville Everett May, 85, of Russell Springs, KY, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at Cold Springs Primitive Baptist Church, Liberty, KY, at 12pmCT/1pmET, Saturday, May 24, 2014,, with Elder Roger Price and Bro. Kenneth Blevins officiating. Vistation will be after 4pmCT/5pmET, on Friday, May 23, 2014, at Cold Springs Primitive Baptist Church, 8324 KY Hwy 70, Liberty, KY. Interment at Cold Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

He was born in Moreland, KY, on October 9, 1928, a son of the late Lula (Osborne) and Charles Everett May. He died Thursday, May 22, 2014, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 85 years, 7 months, and 13 days.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae May; one son Marvin Eugene May; one daughter, Wanda Gay May; and a host of brothers and sisters.

He was a member of Cold Springs Primitive Baptist Church and worked as a mechanic.

He is survived by:
  • Two daughters: Patricia Finan, of Russell Springs, KY; and Annatta Carter, of Jamestown, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Six great-grandchildren

  • Four great-great grandchildren
