Questions need-to-look-up big word in Jon Halsey commentary

Issue of the day: Sagacity and it's place on CM. Should that word be banned along with mention or allusion to Shakespeare?
Comments re article 67414 No opposition to Sammy Baker confirms sagacity of residents of 3rd District

By Rickie Williams

sagacity = acuteness of mental discernment and soundness of judgment.

I had to look up the word to see what it meant. When it comes to the three R's, I took the first one as being optional and doubled up on the last one.

When one is reading another's writing, it is difficult to discern their tone.

It is not evident if the voters of that district are being paid a compliment or the opposite.

My favorite of all time was when Mrs Drysdale called Jethro an imbecile and his response was...Why thank ya!!!

- Rickie Williams

Thanks, and your point is well taken However, at the store in where the writer has membership, , practically all they ever talk about is 'sagacity,' - at least among graduates of The University there, UK, the University of Knifley. Same for all the erudite folks at Hardscratch Grocery and Travis Coomer's place in District 3 - so we're sure that the greatness of Sammy Baker was the intended meaning. On the other hand, your point is well taken, and we'll try to make sure Jon Halsey doesn't talk over folkses' heads. - CM
