Native American Powwow in progress Sunday afternoon

Click on headline for complete story with photo(s)

By Cynthia Meyer

I just got back from popping in at the Harris Powwow Grounds 464 William Judd Road, Edmonton, KY, where the native American Powwow is being held this weekend; it was organized by Jim and Martha Harris.

According to Jim, the Sunday afternoon activities, which started at 1pmCT Sunday, May 18, 2014 with the Grand Entrance will continue this afternoon indefinitely. They will dance till the dancers can’t dance, the singers can't sing, and the drummers can't drum and the story tellers have no more stories to tell any longer.

So there is still time to get out, and enjoy the afternoon with all the festivities and do a little dancing yourself! Contact: Martha Harris 270-432-3295.
