Drowning has just occcurred at Green River Lake

We've just received official word that a 19-year old youth has drowned at Green River Lake in the Lone Valley Community of Taylor County. The Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS and other first responders are on the scene. The incident occurred at 30 minutes ago (Approximately 12:35CT/1:35ET - CM). We will have more news for you from the scene, shortly. Search for drowning victim at Lone Valley, Green River Lake



2014-05-11 - Lone Valley, GRL, Taylor County, KY - Photo by Larry Smith, The Big Dawg, 99.9 FM radio. Divers with the Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS return to shore after a turn searching for a 19 year old drowning victim. The Air Evac Helicopter had been on standby for a rescue has left the scene as this is written and a chaplain has been called in to meet with the victim's family, some of whom are on the scene. The name has not yet been released.
