Epicurean Kentuckian: Need Adair Co. Egg Gravy recipe Spring cooking Does anybody know how to make Egg Gravy, the way people used to - may still do - in Southern Adair County? As described to the Epicurean Kentuckian, it was made with more cornmeal than flour, milk, and salt and pepper for seasoning - maybe some secret ingredients like sausage (bet, if so, it would be great with Payne Janes Sausage or sausage Foster Graves makes at Fairplay. The eggs were scrambled in this the dish described. At least a few cooks in the Stotts family - maybe some of the Fudges and maybe others - could do it right. We appreciate any enlightenment from readers. - EK This story was posted on 2014-05-07 19:06:13
