LWC's Bettie Starr pigs out for a good cause Click on headline for article with photo(s) By Duane Bonifer COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson College Vice President of Academic Affairs Bettie Starr puckered up to kiss a pig on Thursday afternoon on the college's Campus Quadrangle. Starr was the "winner" in the LWC Student Alumni Relations Council "Kiss the Pig" contest. More than 20 LWC faculty, staff and students competed for donations from the campus community over a two-week period. More than $800 was raised for SARC projects, and the individual who raised the most money from colleagues got to kiss a pig. Starr kissed Peaches, a 4-year-old, 200-pound pot-bellied pig owned by Dana Reliford Walker of Columbia. This story was posted on 2014-05-02 20:58:26
