Adair County Farmer's Market will open Tuesday, May 6, 2014

The Adair County Farmer's Market, 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY, will be opening 2pm-6pmCT, on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 to start the 2014 season. The Adair County Farmer's Market is a source of fresh produce exclusively grown in Adair County.

This year's full schedule includes: Tuesday afternoons 2pm-6pmCT starting on May 6, 2014; Friday mornings, 6am-10amCT, starting on May 9, 2014; and Tuesday mornings 6am-10amCT starting on June 17, 2014. This year's vendors and products for the Adair County Farmer's Market will include:
  • Darrell Bunnell of Coview Farms - vegetables, bedding plants, and eggs
  • Jeremy and Ashley McCasland of Highland Acres - vegetables, bread, and honey
  • Barbara Armitage of Tucker's Station Farms - vegetables, blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries
  • Danny and Debbie Burris of D&D Longview Angus - vegetables, grapes, apples, peaches, pears, cherries, and berries
  • David Herbst - peaches
  • Ken Mooney - vegetables, flowers, eggs, peaches, apples, strawberries, and pumpkins
  • Ted Caldwell - berries and tomatoes
  • Caitlin & Jimmy Helm of Lonely Acre Farm - vegetables, blueberries, baked goods, and eggs
  • Holly Kerns - vegetables and pumpkins
  • Jeffrey Scott - apples, peaches, and pears
Many of the vendors of the Adair County Farmer's Market accept WIC and Seniors vouchers as well as credit and debit cards. Vendors have also been certified in Good Agriculture Practices (GAP), and a certified management practice to aid in ensuring safe and wholesome foods.
