Click on headline for introduction and photo(s) By Duane Bonifer COLUMBIA, KY- The Lindsey Wilson College community continued four days of environmental awareness Tuesday with a campus wide celebration of Earth Day. To mark the 44th anniversary of the day of global awareness about the environment, the LWC community dedicated a tree to the late Carolyn Keefe of Columbia and held a day of activities on the Campus Quadrangle. Keefe, who was an LWC English professor from 1997-2009, died last year. During her service on the LWC faculty, Keefe led the campus' Earth Day activities. From April 21-24, the LWC Office of Student Activities will help coordinate campus-wide recycling activities and other events designed to raise students' understanding about the environment. - Duane Bonifer, Lindsey Wilson College This story was posted on 2014-04-23 05:05:26
