Remembering Grover Gilpin, from one of his pupils of life So Sorry to hear of the passing of Grover Gilpin, I was one of his pupils of life as were many of my friends. He could remember names and places better at age 95 than I could at 50 years old. He taught me how politics works, as did his old partner and my cousin, the late Pete Walker. Their two minds worked in tandem like a great pair of pulling mules and fed off of each other. I sat through many a class at the old Circle R to learn some of his great wisdom.
