Christine Noel, Casey County, KY (1928-2014)

She was a native of Casey Co., KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Lucian & Linda Brown Marple and the widow of Raymond Ruel Noel. She had strong family ties in Casey, Adair, and Taylor Counties and elsewhere. She leaves 12 direct and 18 step living descendants. She was a homemaker and member of the Gum Lick Christian Church. Christine was baptized July 23, 1941. She was a former member of the church choir.

Christine Noel of passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2014, at the Casey County Hospital. She was 86.

Funeral services are 12pm noon CT/1pmET Thursday, April 17, 2014, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Steve Martin and Bro. Raymond Martin officiating. Ms. Christine will be laid to rest in Gum Lick Cemetery. Visitation is 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at the funeral home.

Born April 10, 1928 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Lucian and Linda Brown Marple. She died Tuesday, April 14, 2014, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 86 years, 4 days.

She was a homemaker and member of the Gum Lick Christian Church. Christine was baptized July 23, 1941 and was a former member of the church choir.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Ruel Noel, who died August 7, 1996; two brothers, Austie and Oval Marple; and two sisters, Ruth Bowman and Alene Marple.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son, Gary (and Wilma) Noel of Danville, KY

  • Four daughters: Shirley (and Dennis) Baldock of Liberty, KY; Betty (and Glen) Wright of Campbellsville, KY; Rita Noel of Columbia, KY; and Vanessa (and Brian) Woodrum of Liberty, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • Four great-grandchildren

  • Five step-grandchildren

  • Twelve step-great-grandchildren

  • A step-great-great-granddaughter

  • And a host of nieces and nephews
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Gideons.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY.
