She was a native of Cofer, Metcalfe County, KY, and a resident of Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the time of her death. She was a member of a highly regarded family. the daughter of Charlie Wolford "C.W." and Ruth Hagan Fletcher.She was a member of Chestnut Grove Christian Church, Breeding, KY; and White Hill Community Church in Cumberland Co., KY. She was an assistant manager for U.S. Bancorp Financial. She was the widow of Ronnie Leslie Hoots, her husband of over 39 years.

Mrs. Rebecca Carolyn Fletcher Hoots, age 62, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 1pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Freddie Froedge and Bro. James Miles officiating. Burial will be in the White Hill Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 4pmCT, on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 until the funeral hour on Thursday.

She was born in Cofer, Metcalfe County, Kentucky on Thursday, September 6, 1951, the daughter of Charlie Wolford "C. W." and Ruth Hagan Fletcher. She died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the age of 62 years, 7 months, and 7 days.

She was a member of Chestnut Grove Christian Church, Breeding, KY; and White Hill Community Church in Cumberland Co., KY. She was an assistant manager for U.S. Bancorp Financial.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Wolford "C. W." Fletcher, her husband, Ronnie Leslie Hoots, whom she married on Sunday, June 9, 1974; and her sister, Donna Gail Fletcher.

She is survived by her mother, Ruth Hagan Fletcher of Burkesville, Kentucky, and the following:
  • Her sisters and brothers-in-law: Rita and Freddie Akin of Burkesville, Kentucky; and Beverly and Don McClard of Glasgow, Kentucky

  • Her nieces: Diane Akin and Shana (and Timmy) Turner

  • Her nephew: Jerrod (and Cheryl) Akin

  • Her step-niece: Michelle Wray

  • And her step-nephew, Spincer Wray
