LWC Football ranked No. 18 in NAIA coaches' spring Top 25 Poll Blue Raiders received 100 voting points after a program-record eight wins in 2013 By Charles Balcom News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson football team is ranked No. 18 in the spring edition of the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Monday. The Blue Raiders received 100 total voting points from the panel of national raters. Lindsey Wilson is coming off an 8-3 record in 2013 finishing the year in third-place in the Mid-South Conference East Division. The eight wins are the most in program history. The Blue Raiders are joined in the poll by Mid-South members Cumberlands (KY), Georgetown (KY) and Cumberland (TN). Cumberlands sits at No. 3 after finishing 2013 with a 13-1 record and advancing to the national championship game before falling to Grand View (Iowa). The Patriots received 262 voting points. Georgetown is No. 12 after receiving 168 total points while Cumberland is No. 25 with 26 points. Reinhardt (GA) sits just outside the top 25 after receiving 8 votes. National champion Grand View is the top-ranked team after receiving 288 points and all 13 first-place votes. Caroll (MT) is No. 2 with 270 voting points followed by Cumberlands at No. 3.
