Elaine Patton, age 65 years, of the Pellyton Community in Adair County, Kentucky passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 3:10pmET, at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY, after a short illness.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 2pmCT, at the Old Pellyton Methodist Church, 167 Pellyton West Road, Columbia, KY, in the Pellyton Community of Adair County, KY, with Bro. Paul Patton the officiating clergy. The family request visiting 3:30pm-9pmCT on Tuesday, April 17, 2014, and 6am-9amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, and and from 10amCT, Wednesday until the service hour at the Old Pellyton Methodist Church in Pellyton, KY. Burial will be in the Pellyton Cemetery, 100 Pellyton East Road, Pellyton, KY.



Elaine Patton, Adair County, KY (1948-2014)

She was born in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, Sunday, June 20, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Albert & Emma Lemmon Wilkerson. She died Sunday, April 13, 2014, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 65 years, 9 months, and 23 days.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers: Henry Albert Wilkerson, Ken Maynard Wilkerson and Mack Hollis Wilkerson.

She is survived by her husband: Donald Patton of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Three sons: Bryan Jacky Taylor and wife Lisa of Columbia, KY; Byron Joe Taylor and wife: Valerie of Columbia, KY; and Christopher Patton of Columbia, KY
  • One brother: Charles Willard Wilkerson of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Alice Faye Wingler of Columbia, KY

  • Five granddaughters: Ashley, Jaclyn, Brittney, Natalie and Lindsey Taylor

  • Three great grandchildren also survive

  • A very special person in her life: Stephen Freitas of Liberty, KY
