Bobby Keith Smith, age 72, of Edmonton, Kentucky died April 8, 2014 at his home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 1pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with Bro Freddie Froedge officiating. Burial will follow at the White Hill Cemetery in Cumberland County, near Breeding KY. Visitation will begin Friday, April 11, 2014, at 11amCT, at the funeral home.

He was born Sunday, June 22, 1941, in Edmonton, Metcalfe County, KY, to the late Tom and Pearl Turner Smith. He died April 8, 2014, in Edmonton, Metcalfe County, KY, at the age of 72 years, 8 months, and 16 days.

He worked as a logger.

He was the husband of Lois Evelyn Gibson Smith who survives. He was also survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Sandra Barnett, Summer Shade, KY

  • Three sons, Randy (Sherry) Smith, Edmonton, KY; Terry (Marsha) Smith, Hardyville, KY; and Danny Smith, Edmonton, KY

  • Three sisters, Dina Smith, Edmonton, KY; Sylvia Smith, Tompkinsville, KY; and Earlene Smith, Eunice, Kentucky

  • Fourteen grandchildren, Clinton Smith, Bridget Harper, Dusty England, Tyra Weaver, Angela Zipf, Crystal Webb, Corey Barnett, Shelby Hostetler, Jordan Deppe, Justin Deppe, Brianna Ridlen, Bryan Smith, Brandon Smith, and Blake Smith

  • Fifteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to the Edmonton Metcalfe County Volunteer Fire Department.
