CU Derby Rose Gala is Monday, April 14, 2014

Event generates over $100,000 for scholarships. This year's special speaker is Kevin Flannery, President of Churchill Downs.

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - Campbellsville University is set to hold the sixth annual Derby Rose Gala on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 5pmCT/6pmET at the Winters Dining Hall located at 411 N. Columbia, Campbellsville, KY 42718. "The gala is an important scholarship fundraising event, generating close to $106,000 for scholarships in the past five years," Benji Kelly, vice president for development, said.

The gala is a black-tie optional event with a gourmet meal, silent auction and guest speaker, Kevin Flanery, president of Churchill Downs Racetrack and senior vice president of Churchill Downs Incorporated. Students from Campbellsville University's mass communication department will provide coverage of this event on WLCU-FM 88.7 radio and WLCU Tv. - Lindey Young, CU.
