In spirit of the Easter season, Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 2472 Mt. Carmel Road, Columbia, KY will host a Passion Play on Good Friday, April 18, 2014 at 7pmCT/ 8pmET. Prelude music will begin at 6:40pmCT/7:40pmET. This play, written by former pastor Marvin Janes, is in its 10th year. Several revisions and scenes have been added. The play includes spoken text, solos and interpretive dances while depicting the birth, ministry, suffering, crucifixion and the climax of His resurrection.

With all the revisions made, this is our largest play ever with over 60 participants from various churches in our community including Mt. Carmel UM Church, Cane Valley Baptist, Cane Valley Christian, Plum Point Baptist, Elkhorn Baptist and New Hope Separate Baptist Church. Prelude music will begin at 6:40 CT/ 7:40 ET. Pastor, Bro. Lanny Garner and congregation invite everyone to attend. Contact: Jane Richerson, Director at 270-469-4375.--Jeana Pike
