Over-correction a factor in Marion County, KY, fatal collision

Driver loses control of 2003 Blazer, drops off shoulder, overcorrects, leaves roadway, and strikes tree; pronounced dead att the scene by Marion County Coroner

LEBANON, KY - Tpr. Bo Hensley is investigating a collision that occurred today 3.2 miles west of Lebanon on KY 84 at 9:59amET. 62-year-old Ann Hope Mattingly, of Lebanon, was operating a 2003 Chevy Blazer, traveling east, when she lost control of her vehicle after dropping off the shoulder of the road.

Mattingly over-corrected, left the roadway and struck a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Marion County Coroner.

Trooper Hensley was assisted at the scene by Marion County EMS, Lebanon Fire Department, Marion County Rescue Squad and the Marion County Sheriff's Department.
