FM2 purchase in 2013 provided breakfast tomatoes April 4, 2014 The Farmers Market on the Square opens its 2nd season Saturday, April 5, 2014, 8am-1pmCT - for an extra hour this year, for a 30 week run from April 5, 2014 through Saturday, October 25, 2014 in the Adair Annex Parking Lot, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY. Click on headline for incontrovertible evidence - complete story with photo(s) By Mike Watson Two plant provided over 500 tomatoes! I thought I would share these tomatoes with you and CM readers. In April 2013 at the Farmers Market on the Square, I bought two tomato plants--mini grape, yellow variety - from Caitlin Helm. Both survived and produced, one better than the other. As they ripened, I began to count. By the end of the season, I'd picked more than 500. In mid-October, with threat of frost, I picked more than 100 green tomatoes. Stored away, as they ripened, I added them to breakfast. These two photos were taken this morning, April 4, 2014, just before the last ones were enjoyed! - Mike Watson This story was posted on 2014-04-04 09:08:23
