Wendy & Ben: 13 minute midnight drama on Little Cake Rd.

The Carma Caper on Little Cake Road created consternation, but the rest of the story? Carma knew exactly what she was doing; it took her slow human associates 13 long minutes to learn just how smart this wonder dog is. It's chronicled here in the E-pistolarian genre of great literature

"Carma went missing sometime after 9:30pm (CT). She was not wearing her collar at the time because I had just gone outside to bring her and Rocky inside. The dogs decided to finish eating what was left of their supper, so I headed back inside to finish watching the news. When I went to get them, she was gone, Rocky was still here. She is chipped, so if anyone finds her they can take her to a local shelter or vet's office. This isn't normal behavior for her, so that is why we are concerned. There is a reward for her safe return. Please call 270-384-1776 if anyone has seen her. Sincerely, Wendy Gousha & Ben Briscoe

So sorry for the earlier email about Carma. After hours of calling her name all thru Little Cake, Ben went to the farm and there she was laid on the front porch of her new home. She had followed another dog from Little Cake and thought she was closer to her new home than traveling back 3 miles to her old home. False alarm, Thank goodness! We apologize to our neighbors of we woke anyone up. Sincerely, Wendy Gousha & Ben Briscoe

Happy Endings, even without CM's help are always great news Thanks for sharing. Carma certainly is now in the running for Smartest Dog in Adair County. Hope there's the same Happy Ending for other lost & found dogs as you've had. - EW

Carma: Wonder dog. Not lost, just doing her job

2014-04-03 - Little Cake/Neat Hollow Road, Adair County, KY - Photo by Wendy Gousha. Wonder dog Carma was the source of 13 minutes of angst and a frantic hunt by her associates, Ben & Wendy, when they thought - but ought to have known better - that she had gone missing. At the end of the 13 minute panic, they discovered that she had simply gone about her duties, protecting their 2nd place, maybe a vacation place, on Neat Hollow Road. - CM
