Roy L. Birdwell, Russell Co., KY (1955-2014)

He was a native of Jamestown, KY and a resident of the city a the time of his death. He was the son of the late Carl and Bessie (Burchett) Birdwell. His wife, Linda Birdwell, survives. He was a member of a large, respected family of eight siblings, four of whom now survive.He leaves two direct living descendants and many close relatives in Jamestown and Columbia, Kentucky and elsewhere. He was a mechanic.

Roy L. Birdwell, 59, Murray Road, Jamestown, KY, died Wednesday, April 2, 1955, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services wil be at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, at 10:30amCT, Saturday, April 5, 2014, with Bro. Wendell Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Murray Cemetery, Jamestown, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Friday, April 4, 2014, at the chapel.

He was born March 7, 1955, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Carl and Bessie (Burchett) Birdwell. He died Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 59 years and 26 days.

He was a mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Birdwell, Jamestown, KY, and he following:
  • His daughter: Kaitlyn Tucker, Jamestown, KY

  • Four sisters: Minnie Russ, Jamestown, KY; Darlene Mann, Columbia, KY; Nina Hall, Columbia, KY; and Linda Hayes, Las Vegas, NV.

  • His granddaughter: Rosalee Tucker
He was preceded in death by one brother, Walter Birdwell; and two sisters, Wanda and Mary Ann Birdwell.

The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
