Lindsey Wilson had an answer in the bottom half of the inning when they loaded the bases on a single and a pair of walks. A Bearcat error let one run across and Ramirez's sacrifice fly scored another for the 2-1 lead. The Blue Raiders added two runs in both the third and fourth inning to push the lead to 6-1. In the third, a pair of singles by Bautista and Berry scored two runs while one of Andino's hits scored the other two in the fourth. Lindsey Wilson would tack on one more run in the seventh on a Ramirez base hit to push the lead to 7-1. In the final two innings, the Blue Raider pitching staff recorded the final six outs of the game all on strikeouts. Keith Patton entered in the eighth and gave up two hits while striking out five.
