Drug Round Up in Columbia: 13 arrested in early morning sweep

Columbia Police arrest 13 on multiple drug trafficking charges following early morning raids on several homes in Adair County.

This morning, Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at daybreak Columbia Police Department officers assembled at the Jim Blair Center for a intelligence and safety briefing on the execution of 13 sealed indictments obtained by CPD officers thru undercover drug operations.

Officers were assigned packets and headed to their assigned destinations at approximately 06:30amCT. The indictments were all for various drug charges involving prescription medication and crack cocaine. The investigations also led to the seizure of an undisclosed amount of cash, multiple vehicles, and additional narcotics.

Arrested in no specific order were:


  • Sondra Campbell - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd degree, and Persistent Felony Offender

  • Charles Hughes - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree ( 2 counts)

  • Beveraly Kuhn - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd degree

  • William Miller - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree , Possession of Controlled Substance 1st degree Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana and Promoting contraband.

  • Annette Leak - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degee

  • Robert Taylor - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree 2nd offense ( 2 counts)

  • Timothy Jones - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree

  • Deondrick Davis - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree (2 counts)

  • Steven Smith - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree ( 2 counts)

  • Jason Morgan - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree

  • David Mclean - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd degree,. Persistent Felony Offender 2nd degree, and Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd degree

  • Jennifer Melson - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd degree.

  • Jerry Kuhn - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd degree ( 2 counts)
