H.B. Carey age 78 of Edmonton, KY, died Tuesday March 25, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Graveside service will be 1pmCT, Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens, Edmonton, KY.

He was owner and operator of Carey Consulting and a veteran of the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife Lu Carey of Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Bryan Carey and Duane Carey both of California

  • One daughter: Lorena Moffatt of South Carolina

  • Two step children: Laura and husband David Jones of New Hampshire; and Lance McHarg of California

  • Two sisters: Patricia and husband Bob Constans; and Mickie and husband Bill Wyant. all of Illinois

  • Cousin: Geneva Branstetter of Edmonton, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Six great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his step father Eulas Deckard and mother Willodean Copas Deckard, one aunt Moda A. Wethington.

In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial contribution be made to the Kosair Childrens Hospital 234 East Gray St. Suite 450, Louisville, KY 40202.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
