Geneva Jane Davis Parke, age 87, of Dubre, KY, died March 25, 2014, at the Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 28, 2014 at 1pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade; KY with Bro. Gary Richardson officiating and burial will follow at the Creacy Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5pmCT, Thursday March 27. 2014, at the funeral home.

She was born May 29, 1926, in Marrowbone, Cumberland County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Sidney and Janie Anderson Davis. She died Tuesday, March 25, 2014, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 87 years, 9 months, and 27 days.

She was the widow of the late Kyle Parke. She was a housewife.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Lonnie (Janet) Parke and Timmie (Sue) Parke

  • One brother: Eugene Davis

  • Six grandchildren: Johnnie Parke, Sheila Parke, Betsy Moore, Josh Parke, Garren Parke, and Corey Parke

  • Nine great grandchildren

  • One step great grandchild

  • One great-great grandchild
She was preceded in death by her husband Kyle; son Donnie, and stepson, Rondal Parke. Bothers and sisters, Opal Horton, Maynard Smith, Alma Smith, Lorene Smith, Hub Davis, Oakley Davis; and one great grandchild, Sydney Proffitt.

McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, in charge of arrangements.
