Anthony Holmes head of KY Association for Play Therapy

Columbia, KY resident named President for 2014-2016 term at March 13, 2014 state conference.

Anthony Holmes of Columbia, KY, was named president of the Kentucky Association for Play Therapy (KAPT) at it's 21st annual conference in Louisville, KY on March 13, 2014. On March 13th KAPT for a two year term for 2014-2016.



The Association for Play Therapy (APT) is a national professional society established in 1982 and located in Clovis, California. APT promotes the value of play, play therapy, and credentialed play therapists by advancing the psychosocial development and mental health of all people and sponsoring and supporting those programs, services, and related activities that promote the: public understanding and appreciation of play and play therapy, effective practice of play therapy through research, education and training, and support, recognition, incorporation, and preservation of diversity in play and play therapy, development and maintenance of a strong professional organization that satisfies this mission.

Each state has it's own branch and board of directors for it's local branches.
