Elder, Roberts and Cummings earn WBCA All-America honors Lindsey Wilson College Blue Raiders are the only sophomore and freshmen to receive the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association All-America honorable mention award. Elder is a sophomore from Lebanon, KY; Roberts is from Radcliff, KY, and Cummings, is from Glasgow, KY By Charles Balcom News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - Bre Elder, Chanel Roberts and Jamie Cummings have been named to the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA) All-America Team - Honorable Mention, the WBCA announced on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. The three Blue Raiders are the lone underclassmen on the 20-person team. Elder is the only sophomore and Roberts and Cummings are the lone freshman to receive the honor. Elder, a sophomore from Lebanon, KY, joined Lindsey Wilson during the 2013-14 season after transferring from the University of Dayton (OH). She led the Blue Raiders with 12.7 points per game and averaged 5.0 rebounds per game. The 5'8 guard recorded 45 assists and 27 steals on the year while shooting 75.0 percent from the free-throw stripe. She scored double-digit points in 18-of-24 games she played in including a career-high 24 points against St. Catharine (KY) on February 1, 2014. Roberts, a freshman from Radcliff, KY, averaged 11.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game during the 2013-14 season. She led the Blue Raiders in blocks (20) and steals (44). Her 224 total rebounds were the second most on the team. The 5'10 forward set career highs this season with 26 points against Brescia (KY) and 19 rebounds against Mobile (AL). Cummings, a freshman from Glasgow, KY, finished the season averaging 12.6 points per game and a team-high 7.6 rebounds per game. She led Lindsey Wilson with five double-doubles and finished the year with 19 blocks, 38 steals and a team-high 227 total rebounds. The 5'11 forward scored a career-high 24 points in a win over Mid-Continent (KY) on November 14, 2013. Her field-goal percentage of 51.8 percent was the highest on the team.
