Single vehicle accident results in driver injury

Slick road conditions blamed for operator losing control, leaving roadway, and overturning in crash near Springfield investigated by Tpr. Chase Willis of KSP Post 19, Columbia, KYI

SPRINGFIELD, KY - Tpr. Chase Willis is investigating a collision that occurred at 6:13pmET, Sunday, March 16, 2014, on Bardstown Road, 3 miles east of Springfield. 19-year-old Jessica Hyke was traveling east on Bardstown Rd, operating a 2002 Chevy. Hyke lost control of her vehicle due to slick conditions, left the roadway and overturned. She was belted and transported to Springview Hospital where she was treated and released. Washington County Fire, EMS and Rescue assisted. - TFC BILLY GREGORY
