Danny Boone Thomas age 64 years of Columbia, KY passed away Thursday, March 13,2014 at University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. with Bro. Larry Wisdom and Bro. Mark Bradshaw the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the funeral home.


Pallbearers: Bryan Coffey, Benji Coffey, Kenneth Dial, Tony Campbell, Johnny Ray Thomas and Henry Sandusky.

He was born on January 27, 1950 in Columbia, Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Roy Freeman & Dorothy Opal Smith Thomas. He died Thursday, March 13, 2014, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 64 years, 1 months, and 17 days.

He was preceded in death by one brother Robert Thomas.

He is survived by the following:
  • Six sisters: Pauline Teater of Campbellsville, KY; Betty Wringler of Campbellsville, KY; Charlotte Coffey of Columbia, KY; Faye Underwood of Campbellsville, KY; and Kim Skaggs of Mt. Sherman, KY and Karen Lafollette of Hodgenville, KY.

  • Four brothers: Ray Thomas, James Thomas of Columbia, KY; Harold "Cat Fish" Thomas of Georgetown, KY and Donnie Thomas, of Lexington, KY

  • His former wife Mildred Burton Thomas of Columbia, KY

  • Special friend: Patricia Burton of Columbia, KY

  • Several nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends
He was a member of Hutchinson Community Church and a truck driver for Sandusky Steel.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY in charge of arrangements.
