Lindsey Wilson College baseball vs. Bluefield College (Bluefield, VA) at 3pmCT/4pmET, Friday, March 14, 2014, at Bowen Field, 2003 Stadium Drive, Bluefield, VA By Chris Wells News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson baseball coach Jonathan Burton hit a pair of coaching milestones during Wednesday's doubleheader sweep of William Carey (MS). Burton won his 100th career game at Lindsey Wilson following the Blue Raiders 5-3 win over the No. 24-ranked Crusaders in the opener of the doubleheader. Entering this weekend's series with Bluefield (VA), Burton is 101-48 in his third season at the helm of the Lindsey Wilson baseball program. In Lindsey Wilson's 4-3 win in the nightcap, Burton picked up his 200th career win. Including three seasons at Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.), Burton owns a 200-116 career coaching record. During his time at Lindsey Wilson, Burton has led the Blue Raiders to a pair of NAIA National Tournament appearances -- reaching the NAIA Opening Round finals in each appearance. He has also guided the Blue Raiders to the 2012 Mid-South Conference regular season title and the 2013 MSC Tournament championship.
