By Joe Hare

Norbert Hall, pastor of the Shiloh Christian Church, Adair County, KY, and local veterans Ron Burton from the Bethesda Community Fellowship Church, Russell Springs. KY, and Joe Hare from Shiloh Christian Church, Columbia made a trip to the Thompson-Hood Veterans Center at Wilmore, KY (Wilmore is 85.4 miles from Columbia by way of Russell Springs, Liberty, Danville and Burgin).

The two churches had been collecting "goodies" to take to the Veterans there and to visit with some. We found that they had no one from our area there, but were given a tour by Activities Director Michelle Ewing and met many of the veterans. We found this to be top notch facility that was as clean as could be and the veterans well cared for and very happy.

Anyone or organization looking for a place to help this is a good choice of some very deserving people. Also any veteran needing nursing care, you could not make a better choice.
