Charles Marshburn sends link on board members' responsibility

Charles Marshburn sent this link to an article which illustrates he enormous responsibilities hospital boards have - and which are of particular importance to the community as the Adair County Board of Trustees are actively pursuing a sale of Westlake Regional Hospital:

The Hospital Board The Law, Science & Public Health

The sale of the hospital might be a good thing for health care and economic development, if the sale should be parallel to what has happened in Taylor Regional Hospital. It could be the opposite if the new owners simply take advantage of the turn-around already made with the assistance of Adair Fiscal Court and the public as a mere means of taking advantage of Adair County's obligation to pay off the debt with court imposed taxes. Either way, it's a time for all, the trustees, the public, and Fiscal Court to be diligent in oversight. - ED WAGGENER
