Adair Co., KY officers make trafficking arrest after traffic stop

22 year old current resident of Columbia arrested. Deputy Rainwater was assisted by Officer Johnny Dial, Officer Josh Brockman, and Deputy Adam Cravens

The Adair County Sheriff's Office made a drug trafficking arrest late Saturday night March, 8. 2014.

Deputy Aaron Rainwater observed a white Ford Focus turning onto College Park from Wright Drive without signaling and initiated the stop. Upon the traffic stop Deputy Rainwater could detect the odor of marijuana in the vehicle.



Search of the vehicle and its operator led to officers finding multiple individual baggies of marijuana in the vehicle and on the operators person. Officers also recovered a large some of cash and drug paraphernalia.

Robert Jones, 22 who currently resides in Columbia was charged with failure to signal, possession of marijuana, trafficking in marijuana less than 8 oz. 1st offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputy Rainwater was assisted by Officer Johnny Dial, Officer Josh Brockman, and Deputy Adam Cravens. - Deputy Adam Cravens
